  The secret gem of the public golf courses is getting better and better.
  
  Well, I though that it was about time that I did my review for Altone Park Golf Course. It definitely deserves a 4 rating, plus a little bit more in my opinion (and it is always improving)
  
  If my review was based on just value for money and the staff it would rate a solid 5 out of 5.
  
  What you need to know:
  
  * The owners and staff are great, very friendly and helpful;
  * The course is continuing to get better and better;
  * There has been continuous ongoing work which is improving the course every week;
  * The greens have been improving;
  * The fairways are more defined;
  * The rough has been cleaned out to make it a bit easier to find your wayward golf balls;
  * It is still a very tough course with water on 7 of the 9 holes;
  * Yes it is only a 9 hole course with different tee locations for the back V front 9;
  * Recently some of the tee locations have been moved to give more definition between the front 9 holes and the back nine holes;
  * One of the best coffee makers you will find anywhere; and
  * Has excellently priced beverages and food.
  
  If you can play straight and stay in the middle of the fairways at Altone Park Golf Course, you will be a star at pretty much every other course you play.
  
  Drop in and say hi to Pete and Gwen they really make the place.
